Community Guidelines
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Introduction
OpStap brings people together for a night out. To keep that safe and enjoyable for everyone, these guidelines apply to all users.
1. Respectful behaviour
- Treat others the way you want to be treated.
- Discrimination based on origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation or other characteristics is not tolerated.
- Harassment, bullying or threatening other users is strictly forbidden.
- Inappropriate profile photos and usernames are not allowed.
2. Keeping commitments
- When you check in for an evening, you confirm that you seriously intend to go.
- If you cannot make it, cancel as early as possible in the app.
- No-shows without cancellation lower your trust score.
- Repeated no-shows may result in a temporary or permanent account block.
3. Safety
- Identity verification is required to check in.
- The app is only available to people aged 18 and over.
- You can report or block any user via their profile or (group) chat.
- All reports are reviewed and followed up by the OpStap team.
If you feel unsafe or in danger, always call the police first. In an emergency: 112. Not urgent but still need police: 0800 8844. OpStap is not an emergency service. Afterwards you can report in the app or email opstap@pascal.services.
4. Prohibited behaviour
The following leads to immediate account removal without warning:
- Providing false identity details during verification
- Creating multiple accounts
- Sharing other users' personal data outside the app
- Sending sexual or violent messages in group chat
- Using the app for commercial purposes or spam
- Abusing the report or block button
5. Trust score
- Every user has a trust score from 1 to 10.
- The score rises when group members confirm you showed up.
- The score drops for no-shows or last-minute cancellations.
- A low score can affect your chances of being matched.
6. Enforcement
If you break the rules, OpStap may take these steps:
- Warning: first offence for light misuse
- Temporary block: repeated or more serious misuse
- Permanent ban: serious violations or ongoing misconduct
Appeal via opstap@pascal.services. We respond within 5 business days.
7. Reporting someone
Report via:
- The report button on a user's profile
- The report option in (group) chat
- Email: opstap@pascal.services
All reports are confidential. Your identity is not shared with the reported user. Reporting to OpStap does not replace contacting the police — in danger call 112 or 0800 8844.
